Unfortunately, the library catalogue doesn't currently support Opera and Google Chrome.

Catalogue Address

The library catalogue address is different from the main website address. 

You can go directly to the catalogue here: catalogue.codc-qldc.govt.nz

Searching

  • You can search the catalogue without being logged in.
  • In the search box enter any keywords for search. You can refine your search to by using the drop down box to the right of the search field.
  • Click the Go button or hit Enter. Any results will appear in a new screen.

MyAccount (your library account)

  • You must be logged in BEORE you can access My Account
  • Click here to open the catalogue in a new window
  • Once there, look for login box at the top right of your screen.
  • Enter your user name (your full library card barcode number) and password (initially also your library card number)
  • Click the 'login to the e-Library OPAC' beneath the login fields.
  • When you are logged in the login fields will no longer be displayed on your screen.

User Name & Pin

  • User Name
    This is your libary card barcode number. This is a unique number that starts with the letter "m".  You need your library card barcode number to login to your library account.
  • Pin
    Type your libary card barcode number into the Pin field. At signup, your library barcode number was also assigned as the default password.  We advise you to change this to a personal password the first time you log in.
  • Once you are logged in, the login box will no longer be visable.

Click the link to change your password and follow the onscreen instructions.

Forgotten your Pin?
If you have forgotten your password, use one of the 'contact us' options from eiher the catalogue or website. Follow the instructions and we can then email/phone you with your password. Alternatively, phone your local library and we can find this information for you.

If you do not have a library card, you can find out about how to join the library, however, you will need to come into your local library to complete and sign the membership application form.

Current Loans

From MyAccount you can see what items you have checked out through 'Review my acocunt'. This gives you information on any overdue items you may have and options to extend (renew) your material if possible.

Renewing items

You can renew your on loan items once.

  • From MyAccount select the 'Renew my materials' option.
  • There is a tick box beside each title to allow you to renew it. You can either choose individual items to renew or check the 'Renew all' option to extend everything you have checked-out.

The tick box will NOT appear if:

  • The item has been reserved by another borrower or
  • You have already renewed the item once before.

Placing a hold (reserving itmes)

  • You must be logged in BEORE you try to place a hold on an item.

Finding the item you want to hold:

  • In the Quick search box, enter keywords from the author or the title etc that you want to find.
  • Scroll down the list of titles and find the one you want.
  • Select the 'Place hold' button to the left of your item.
  • You should then see the item you reserved in a new screen. Select a 'Pickup' branch from the drop down box so we can send the book to the library of your choosing.
  • If you do not require the item immediately, you can use the 'Suspension start date' option to let us know when you would like the hod to take effect (useful if you are planning to go on holiday etc).
  • Click the place hold button again to confirm your reservation. A new screen will display this confirmation for you.
  • You can access your holds information anytime through 'MyAccount'.

NOTE: There is a $1.00 charge per item for adult borrowers. Junior members may reserve for free
