Here's how to place a hold/order a book...
NOTE: The library catalogue works best in Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. It doesn't currently support Opera or Google Chrome.
Logging in
- You must be logged in BEORE you try to place a reserve
- Click here to open the catalogue in a new window
- Once there, look for the blue login box on the left side of the screen
- Enter your user name (your library card barcode number) and password (initially also your library card barcode number) and click the "go" arrow. When you are logged in this box will no longer be visable.
Find the item you want to reserve...
- Choose to either 'Browse' or search by 'Keyword'. In the search box, enter your enquiry. You can change the search field in the drop down box to search by 'words or phrase', author, title, subject etc. Click on the blue 'Search' box.
- Scroll down the list of titles and find the one you want.
Place a Hold (reserve) a book
- Click the box next to the title you want to reserve which says 'Place hold'.
- This will display the title in a new screen, where you are asked to confirm your hold. Use the drop down box to select which library you would like to pick teh item up from. You can also choose to 'suspend' your hold, if you do not want the item immediately and wish to pick it up at a later date.
- Click 'Place hold' at the bottom of the screen to confirm your reservation.
NOTE: There is a $1.00 charge per item for adult borrowers. Junior members may reserve for free
My Account
- From the 'MyAccount' link, you will be able to see a summary of your held items by selecting 'Review My Account'
- From this screen you are also able to cancel any holds you no longer require.
Forgotten your Password?
If you have your library card number, and gave an email address when you signed up, you can get your password emailed to you by using the Contact Us options from either the e-Library or website.
If you don't have a library card, please telephone your local branch or contact library membership to get set up.
Problems with placing a hold?
Please telephone your local branch or use the Contact form to ask for help, or to have a librarian reserve the item for you.
